Scratch Project! The Human Heart Part 2

This post will guide you in your Scratch project. Read carefully!

 

This week’s lesson is about adding your background/ wallpaper to your Stage and using the Looks scripts.

How to add Stage Background?

Go to your Sprite list and look for the stage. The same as adding Sprite, click the icon and add the background or wallpaper that you want. You can choose any heart background that you want.

You can use the photo below as your background.

How to switch backdrops?

Go to Looks and drag Switch Backdrop to _________.

Building your code!

Step 1:

Go to Looks and drag Show and Hide in your Script Area.  Show script is used to show the Sprite and Hide script is used to hide the Sprite. We will use this to hide first the other Sprites.

Step 2:

Go to Motions and set the starting point of your Sprite. Recall the X and Y axis lesson in grade 5.

Also, Add the starting backdrop.

 

Step 3:

Go to Looks and connect the script Say Hello for 2 seconds. Look at the picture below.

Change Hello! to This is the Right Atrium!

 

Step 4:

Go to Motion and use the Glide script. Your Sprite should go to your Right Ventricle.

 

Step 5:

Go to Looks and connect the script Say Hello for 2 seconds. Look at the picture below.Change Hello! to This is the Right Ventricle!

Step 6:

Duplicate the Blue Sprite.

Click the Sprite3 and  change the Say _____ to Wait ____.

 

Adjust the X and Y values of Sprite3.
